Omaha Hold'Em poker, typically called Omaha poker amongst players, is a member of the community card poker family. It is a variation of the classic poker style that incorporates the unique element of shared, or community, cards into its game structure. In this way, Omaha closely follows the poker rules of Texas Hold'Em poker, a popular poker variation that also uses community cards.
The objective of Omaha poker is to make a better 5-card hand than any other player at the table. The game uses one standard deck of 52-cards and can comfortably seat a number of players from two to ten.

Omaha hi is a fascinating poker game and very easy to understand. It has two variations Omaha high and Omaha hi/lo split. There are two ways by which betting is done in Omaha poker, one through structured limit while the other is without any limit.
Before starting to play Omaha hi, it is very important to know its rule. As per the structured betting rule $2/$4 are the minimum betting edge. Let us now understand this, 2/4 means that the minimum betting amount should be $2 for the game of first two rounds and the minimum bet in the case of two last rounds should be minimum $4, this limit is also applicable in case of raising . Casino is represented by a player in the form of a dealer. Dealer's turn comes at the end of every betting round. There is a "Button" which is also known as 'marker' - signifies the dealer.

There are a many variations of the poker game and Omaha is one of them. Not everyone likes the game, in fact Omaha hi poker is one of those games you either love or hate.
The exact origins of the game are unknown, but the game was first introduced into a casino sometime between 1946 and 1982 by a professional poker player named Bill Boyd. Bill at the time was the director of the famous Golden Nugget casino in Vegas.

Omaha poker is very much similar to another type of poker, the Texas Holdem. The player must also create a five-card poker hand both from the pocket cards and the community cards. A deck of 5-cards is used in this type of poker game.
About ten people can play the game.
Omaha poker, however, is different in the number of faced-down pocket cards that each player is given by the dealer. In Omaha, players are dealt with four cards as opposed to the two cards in Texas Holdem.

Omaha Hi Lo Poker is a table-game in which the players at the table are each dealt four cards face down. After a round of betting the dealer then places three new cards in the center of the table face up. After a round of betting the dealer then places another card face up with the first three. This is repeated again until finally the last card dealt there are now five cards face up on the table.
