"Bad Beat" Definition
|
The situation in which a hand with few outs or a negative expected value stayed in the pot and won; an improbable or unlucky win or loss, especially when a strong hand is beaten by a hand that was stronger only due to the final card dealt.
For example: "I've seen so many bad beats in my days that I don't think I can be surprised anymore."
