"California Lowball" Definition
|
Ace-to-Five lowball with a Joker added to the deck as a wild card; any variation of poker in which players attempt to make the weakest poker hand possible, with Aces considered low cards, with straights and flushes being ignored, and with a Joker added as a wild card. The primary poker game in California during the 1970s.
For example: "I prefer standard Ace-to-Five lowball more than California Lowball. I haven't really learned enough about how the wild card impacts the game to play California lowball very well."
