"Connectors" Definition
|
Two consecutive cards, like 3-4 or J-Q. You'll often hear the term "suited connectors" which means two cards like 5-6 both of the same suit, such as hearts.
For example: "When there are a lot of players, I usually play connectors even if they're offsuit. I usually fold them when the table is shorthanded, though, because the odds of making a straight are too low to justify chasing a small pot."
